Problem.

Facebook and Oculus needed a name for their new social VR world that strived to create both real connections and communities. Thus, they wanted a name that was inclusive and welcoming to all users and representative of a place that empowers individuals through community.

Solution.

Lexicon worked with Facebook throughout the creative process and conducted the global consumer research on the brand name Horizon. The name Horizon represented an encompassing virtual world of connection and exploration for players to interact with friends, watch movies, and play games.
